Lazy Daisy Stitch

To make this petal-shaped stitch, bring the needle to the front. Using a sewing-style stitch, insert the needle back through the same hole and out again two or more threads away, catching the loop under the needle. Gently pull to shape the loop. Push the needle back through the fabric on the other side of the loop to tack the loop in place.
