Project 2010 - Flower of the Month
There will be 12 flower motifs for the calendar 'Flower of the Month', one motif for each month in 2010. I suggest to stitch on an antique white or a very light beige fabric. A light canvas color will compliment the vivant colors of the flowers. You can use Evenweave or Aida, there will be only very few back stitches. I choose DMC 3864 for the frame stitches of the design because I think it gives a very elegant touch and because it's a color that goes with any other color used in the coming designs. Feel free to change this to a color of your choice. Maybe different green shades? Or pick a color from each design so you get different frames..... The motifs are square and have a size of 63 x 63 stitches. This makes it easy for you to calculate for the layout you wish. I think a layout of 3 motifs in width and 4 motifs in height for a layout in portrait format or a layout of 4 motifs in width and 3 motifs in height for a layout in landscape format would be the best choice. I'll provide a small back stitch alphabet shortly for those who want to stitch the month or flower name under the design. HAPPY STITCHING!
